Day 1: Second Hanukkah candle

  • Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, meet your guide and board the bus for the short ride into Tel Aviv
  • Meet for Candle lighting and Soufganiot ( Hannukah doughnuts) in the hotel lobby

Overnight: Tel Aviv Hotel


Day 2: Third Hanukkah candle

  • Become part of thousands of years of history, by digging into Israel’s past in one of its main archeological sites
  • Visit the Ayalon Institute, a secret factory that manufactured ammunition, built underneath a limestone hill
  • Continue to Independence Hall and relive Ben Gurion’s moving declaration of the State of Israel
  • Drive down to Rothschild Boulevard, lined with Bauhaus Buildings, which led to its recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Walk through the picturesque areas of Neve Tzedek and Old Jaffa
  • Candle lighting in Old Jaffa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea

Day 3: Fourth Hanukkah candle

  • Meet Dr. Ronen Hoffman, academic and former MK, that will speak on The Changing Face of Israeli Leadership (adults)
  • Take part in a Hanukkia building workshop (Children)
  • Drive north to explore the 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheater, Crusader harbor and 12th-century ramparts at Caesarea.
  • Continue to Atlit and see the incredible, newly arrived “illegal immigration” boat with its wonderful high-tech laser presentation
  • Visit the Kabbalistic town of Tzfat and see the famous candle factory and participate in a scroll writing workshop
  • Join new immigrants from Ethiopia at the Absorption Center in Tzfat for candle lighting
  • Explore wildlife at late night jeep safari in the Upper Galilee. Don’t go to bed before drinking herb tea and tasting local Druze pastries in the open

Overnight: Kibbutz Guest House 


Day 4: Fifth Hanukkah candle

  • Take a refreshing walk around the Banias, one of Israel’s most beautiful nature reserves
  • Continue to Har Bental where a series of antiquated Israeli bunkers give a sobering taste for what outpost army life is like
  • Drive to the de Karina chocolate factory in Kibbutz Ein Zivan, where the entire family can make chocolates
  • Stop at Pelter Winery for a winetasting
  • Join IDF soldiers at kibbutz Malkiye, on the border with Lebanon, for candle lighting

Day 5: Sixth Hanukkah candle

  • Start your day with planting a tree in the Land of Israel, and create a personal link to Eretz Yisrael
  • Drive to the Old Bridge at Gesher and learn about the life of the pioneers who built the state in the 1920’s and 30’s
  • Ascend to Jerusalem via the Jordan Valley road, and recite Shehecheyanu, the blessing expressing our gratitude upon reaching Jerusalem.
  • Candle lighting in the lobby of the hotel
  • Visit the Roladin Bakery in the Mamilla Mall to taste some exquisite designer soufganiyot

Day 6: Seventh Hanukkah candle

  • Tour Yad Vashem, the museum presents the story of the Shoah from a unique Jewish perspective (Adults and older children)
  • Visit the Biblical Zoo or enjoy the interactive Mt Herzl Museum, designed with the younger generation in mind and using  state-of-the-art technology
  • Continue to Mahane Yehuda food and spice market. Enjoy the flavors, the aromas and the colors before the obligatory stop at the Marzipan Bakery for “rogelech”
  • Join a special Kabbalat Shabbat service and candle lighting on the Southern Steps of the  Old City
  • Join a Jerusalem family for “Shabbat of a Lifetime”, traditional Shabbat dinner in their home

Day 7: Eighth Hannukah Candle 

  • Join an optional synagogue visit
  • Choose between a walking tour of the Yemin Moshe neighborhood OR an Old City Scavenger Hunt OR a visit to the Israel Museum
  • Havdallah and Candle lighting for the 8th and final candle
  • Enjoy a late night showing of the Night Spectacular at the Tower of David Museum.

Day 8:   

  • Ascend to Masada and tour King Herod’s historic hilltop fortress
  • Relax at a Dead Sea spa hotel: take a dip in the salty waters of the Sea, or enjoy aunique treatment (for ages 16 and over) available using the Dead Sea products.
  • Visit Ein Gedi Nature Reserve with its springs, waterfalls and pools surrounded by lush greenery.
  • Continue to Eretz Bereshit, “Genesis Land,” ride camels and visit the “Tent of Avraham Avinu.”, for a demonstration of ancient hospitality customs
  • Experience a “Bedouin Hafla” dinner accompanied by a drummers circle

Day 9:

  • Start your day at the “Pantry Packers” program, packing dry goods into smaller bags for distribution to the needy.
  • Spend the rest of the morning in the Old City of Jerusalem, uncovering the layers of Jewish history, including underneath the Old City’s maze of buildings at the Western Wall Tunnel.
  • Late check out from the hotel and depart for a farewell dinner before the flight home
