  • Individual arrivals at Israel’s Ben Gurion international airport.  Following airport procedures, you will be met and assisted by a local representative and escorted to your awaiting transfer to take you to Nahariya.
  • Hotel check-in.
  • Later this afternoon, gather in the hotel lobby to meet your fellow riders to kick things off with a delicious and refreshing welcome cocktail overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
  • Next, meet your team of expert tour educators, cycling guides and logistical support providers to get suited up with your bicycle and gear during an orientation session on cycling in Israel.
  • Time permitting: Hit the pavement and get things going with an easy spin along the Mediterraneanbeachfront.
  • Return to the hotel to rest, relax and prepare for the evening.
  • Welcome dinner at your hotel.

  • After an early breakfast at your hotel, head out on your bikes to the opening ride from Nahariya to Rosh Hanikra. 
  • Pause and explore the sea grottos at Rosh Hanikra.
  • Climb up Adamit (the Israeli “Alpe-d’Huez”) – optional climb up to Mt. Meron – Park Goren – Back to Nahariya (60-65km, 1000m-1500m Climb): Strava route >>
  • Afterwards, board your coach transportation and drive to Akko.
  • Have lunch at Akko’s iconic Uri Buri.
  • Spend the remainder of the afternoon exploring the ancient history and diverse cultural heritage of Akko-one of the country’s earliest port cities.
  • Return to the hotel to rest, relax and prepare for the evening.
  • Choose one for the group: Dinner at the hotel or home hospitality.

  • After an early breakfast, suit up and depart Nahariya.
  • Head out and cycle on a scenic, hilly loop of the Western Galilee, including a visit to the Druze village of Yarka.  While there, enjoy a light hospitality lunch followed by a visit to the local cycling school and join a short “ZWIFT” class / pump-track MTB class.

  • Dinner at your hotel, followed by a visit to a local pub, together with invited guests-residents of the Partnership region.

  • After early breakfast at your hotel, check-out and transfer to the starting point of today’s ride at the “Gome” Junction. Climb up to Mt. Hermon – the highest climb in Israel (riders may ride only until the top or continue for a longer route**). Ride down from Mt. Hermon to the rolling plateau of the Golan Heights below.
  • Pause at the Quneitra Overlook for a geostrategic briefing with Avi Melamed.
  • Continue to the nearby Assaf Winery for a wine tasting and light lunch.
  • Ride all the way down to the Sea of Galilee and conclude at the hotel for check-in.
  • Have a chance to rest, relax and prepare for the evening.
  • Free evening at leisure; dinner on own.

  • After breakfast, depart from the hotel.
  • Tour the mystical city of Tzfat.  Explore its ancient Jewish heritage, incredible synagogues and encounter unique figures such as Rabbi Eyal Reiss, director of the Tzfat International Center for Kabbalah for an introductory session into the world of the Kabbalah.
  • Next, visit the excavations at Magdala, believed to date back over 2,000 years into the past.  See the incredible remains of the 1st century synagogue with its rare engraved seven-branched menorah.
  • Have lunch at Magdalena, featuring the very best of local Galilean cuisine.
  • Choose one per person: Spend the remainder of the afternoon at Hamat Gader, offering a myriad of spa activities in a natural hot springs environment OR explore the local pioneering heritage of the chalutzim at the Kinneret Courtyard and adjacent Kibbutz Degania Aleph.
  • Return to the hotel.  Have a chance to rest, relax and prepare for the evening.
  • Have dinner at 1910 restaurant at Kibbutz Degania Aleph.

  • After an early breakfast, check-out from your hotel accommodations and transfer to Gilboa for a ride to the Dead Sea: 110km, 900, ascent (shorter route is optional). Strava rote >>
  • Conclude the day’s ride at Kalya Beach on the Dead Sea. Enjoy the chance to swim and ‘float’ in the Dead Sea.  Lunch to be provided on-site.
  • Next, drive to Ein Bokek and check-in to your hotel accommodations.
  • Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure to rest and relax, as well as to enjoy usage of the hotel’s pool and spa facilities.
  • Dinner at the hotel.

  • After an early breakfast, check-out from your hotel accommodations and transfer to “Ein Hatzeva.
  • Cycle from Ein Hatzeva to “Scorpion Pass.”  Travel via the town of Yeruham, and conclude at the ecologically-sustainable Kibbutz Sde Boker, 75km, 1350m climbing: Strava rote >>
  • While at Kibbutz Sde Boker, meet with local resident and member of the Kibbutz’s founding generation Elisha Tzurgil (subject to availability).
  • Drive to Yerucham and check-in to your hotel accommodations.
  • Dinner at hotel.

  • After breakfast, check-out from your hotel accommodations and traverse the desert towards the Western Negev.
  • Start the day with a morning visit to an orphanage home for girls at risk, located at Kibbutz Karmia, joining an easy MTB class of the girls.
  • Next, travel east towards the Judean Hills.
  • Begin the day’s easy recovery ride near Beit Guvrin, exploring the local scenery in one of Israel’s most popular cycling districts.
  • Conclude the ride at the Emek Ha’ela Winery, pause for a light lunch and wine tasting.

  • Transfer to Jerusalem.
  • Hotel check-in.
  • Dinner at a local restaurant.
  • Optional: Experience the Night Spectacular sound and light show at the Tower of David museum.

  • After breakfast, depart the hotel and travel to the Ben Shemen Youth Village.
  • There, visit the Gino Bartali Youth Leadership Center, dedicated to preserving the memory and to promoting the legacy of this remarkable figure, recognized as a Righteous Gentile.
  • Joining an Easy MTB class with the local kids.  Afterwards, lunch will be provided.
  • Travel towards Jerusalem.
  • Take a short hike along the path of the ‘Burma Road.’  Joined by renowned Jewish educator Joe Perlov, discuss some of the more challenging aspects of Israel’s creation and the effects of the 1948 War of Independence on the region’s Arab villages which once were and are no more.
  • Return to Jerusalem.
  • Free evening at leisure; dinner on own.

  • After an early breakfast, transfer to Latrun to start the Classic Jerusalem mountains loop.

  • Pause en route at Bar Bahar-the mecca of Israel’s cycling community and its most popular pit-stop.  There, replenish and energize with a light brunch.
  • Continue back to Latrun and conclude the ride.
  • Return to the hotel to rest, relax and prepare for the remainder of the day.
  • Later this afternoon, explore the gems of the Four Quarters of the Old City.
  • Experience Kabalat Shabbat at the Western Wall-Kotel.
  • Shabbat dinner at the hotel.
